yes...pretty obvious subject, there. but i'm just remembering last year, when the holocaust memorial reading made me really really depressed and lonely...and this year it's a whole lot better. it's still depressing to think of all these people who were senselessly murdered, but right now there are about 7 people out here and i know and like all of them, and it just makes things easier to handle. my grandma cried when i told her we were doing the reading...it almost made me cry, too. but coming here and being with people has been good. i read with someone, too...we took turns reading the names, and it was nice. it's like, things don't get less sad because someone's with you, but it's easier to deal with that sadness. it's the whole "misery loves miserable company" thing, thanks to social psych. but yeah...people are cool and everything...and all of you who go to ucsd should come out and listen to the names being read or read some names...we're gonna be here until 6pm tomorrow. it's really important that the world remembers the holocaust so that nothing like this can ever happen again.
