i think it's tres amusant that you and your mom were talking about that...i think i can sorta see what she means about the culture thing, and only marrying an ashkenazi jew. can't say for sure, but i think if i were part of such a rich heritage, i would definitely want to carry it on and pass it to my kids. altho technically it shouldn't matter if your husband is jewish or not since it's thru the mom.

btw, my mom does the same thing...only cantonese chinese...not even mandarin. that pretty much excludes anyone i've ever liked except maybe daee. maybe i have a thing for taiwanese guys. heh.
