in terms of news and such, i mean. i haven't posted for several days, and lots of stuff has happened...i guess cin wrote about some of it already, but that's ok. i have a couple of funny quotes she hasn't mentioned.

first for the famous lecture 14 in hum (for those who don't already know, it's the one in which friedman explains his theory on who wrote the Bible.) he was talking about noah's ark and how he had to take all the animals with him. so he said something like "Noah took lions and tigers and bears," and the whole class responded, "oh, my." it was too funny! friedman looked at us and said, "now that's tradition!" it was just great...lions and tigers and bears, oh my...yes...i got a kick out of it. the lecture itself was good...he's a very cool professor. and i finally finished his book, which made me happy. i like what he says in the end, about how he isn't trying to break anyone's faith or anything, and how he's not even being hostile to traditional jews and christians...he figures it shouldn't matter to anyone's faith who exactly wrote down the bible so long as it was divinely inspired...it doesn't even state anywhere that moses was the one who wrote the first five books...it's just a tradition. so yes.

another funny quote was in the video in cpr class...they were talking about life-threatening conditions, and one of them apparently is "persistent pain in the abdomen that won't go away." what exactly is persistent pain that does go away? cin and i were much amused. we needed to find things to be amused at 'cause it was a singularly boring class..but that's ok, it's finally done.

so yesterday, sam told me this little quiz thing, so i thought i'd post it here. everyone can comment with their results, and i'll e-mail you and tell you what they mean. so comment and tell me what you get! here goes. so you have five animals, cow, tiger, rabbit, monkey, and sheep. i want you to get rid of them one by one until you have one left. tel me the order in which you got rid of them and why, and also which one is left. for example, if i got rid of them in the order i just listed them, i'd post the following:
5. cow because...
4. tiger because...
3. rabbit because...
2. monkey because...
1. sheep is left because...
so yes, it's quite an amusing test. and you all should take it.

what other interesting things have happened to be? well, friday was definitely interesting...i so wasn't expecting vic to show up in the middle of the fun session! i got really red and giggly and hyper...and he was amused...i got so hyper i had to go outside for some air with ceci, who was very surprised, too. and kevin followed us out since he wanted to know what was going on. it was all very funny. if vic ever comes again, i will actually stay calm...really, i will. but yes. the ballroom dance is today and he can't come...very sad, but we'll deal. i'm looking forward to dancing tonight...it'll be fun. dancing usually is.
