lots of stuff to talk about

i'm home right now, like san francisco home, and it's making me quite happy. i just finished showing off my wonderful massage skills by practicing on my mom, who was very happy with the arrangement. it's so weird being home...i keep expecting to turn around and see cin, but i see my parents instead...and i have my own room and a nice comfy bed, which i actually didn't sleep in last night...but i've napped in it, and that was nice. but yes...let me catch up about last week first.

so valentine's day wasn't as bad as i was afraid it would be. it actually wasn't bad at all, except in the evening when i got randomly lonely. other than that, it was quite nice. cin got me a tulip and a milky way midnight bar, flowers and a chocolate as she said...it was very nice...i was reminded of how cool she is...so if you're reading this cin, you're very cool...if you didn't know that already. we gave candy to our suitemates and a couple of other people on our floor, and that was happifying 'cause it made them happy. then, kelly, ros, and greg asked me if i wanted to go out to dinner with them. i couldn't go 'cause i had dancing, but i was glad they invited me...it was a very nice gesture. so it was a basically good day...not crummy or anything.

dancing on friday was lots of fun, too. kevin was showing kelly and me hustle steps we could use in competition to look cool. he's so good, it's scary. i was having lots of fun going back and forth between the two of them. kevin would show the step with me, then kelly would try it with me, then kevin would correct him and so on. i don't even wanna know how many times i was dipped...hehe...but it was fun anyways. i gotta work on my technique, though. i don't think we have too much of a chance to move on from the first round since it's open hustle, but we might as well do our best. i'm looking forward to competing...it'll be fun to get out on the floor and dance, even if we don't get too far. next week, we're gonna try to get jonathan to help with our waltz. i can't wait 'till day by the shores!

so friday night i took greyhound home, and i actually slept a bit on the bus...it wasn't too bad a trip. i guess the fact that i was going home made it worth it. i took a nap when i got home, too...if i hadn't done that, i wouldn't have been able to drive around later. then, i "kidnapped" sam...hehe...we had a good time...went to ocean beach, saw "gosford park" (very amusing movie...cin, if you want to see it, i'll go see it again with you), ate at la vie, a yummy vietnamese palce in the richmond, and then sort of camped out in my backyard. we didn't quite camp out...we couldn't get the tent set up properly, but we thought it was passable so we got in and into our sleeping bags and all, and it started pouring. so we thought it would be ok, but apparently we really didn't set the tent up right and it started leaking. we ended up going up to my living room at about 1 and just camping out on the floor. quite amusing, really...next time, i will figure out how to set up a tent in daylight before attempting to do it at night with a flashlight. but yes, the whole day was very happy and nice. makes me a bit sad to go back tomorrow...oh, well.
