happy weekend!
Jun. 10th, 2002 02:52 pmthis weekend was tres nice...actually, it's been tres nice since thursday...i've been ultra happy, but i haven't had time to update since we had visitors all this time. now they're all gone...bevan went home saturday, nik went home this morning, and derek went to his uncle's place about 10 minutes ago. so it's not so crowded and loud anymore, but sadder, since it's just us again.
so on thursday they all flew in...nik and bevan were on the same flight, and derek came a bit later. it was so nice to see nik and bevan again...i've really missed them, especially nik. it was just like high school all over again...we went so nuts! so we took them back to our dorm, then to the wind ensemble concert. sam joe is in it, so they got to meet him. it was nice.
friday was a bit weird. after class, there was the watermelon drop...it was much overrated, but we stood with a whole bunch of lowell people, which was rather amusing. then, we went to dancing, which was nice. it was kinda sad at the same time, saying bye to everyone. i'm glad to go home, but it's sad to think that i won't get to hang out with that cool group for the whole summer. nik and bevan both came, which was cool. nik had a lot of fun dancing, and i think bevan had fun watching. i got to dance with blain a lot...yay! he's very amusing. and i got the award for "most bouncy." i thought that should've gone to ezaree, but since she was the one doing the awards, she couldn't have very well awarded herself...so yes.
after dancing, we all went back, took turns showering, and then nikki and i went to shabbat service and cin and derek went to nav nite. bevan stayed and went for a jog. i was really glad nikki came with me because i think those were the best services of the year. everyone was a bit sad and sentimental, so we were all hugging each other and being all emotional. the service itself was really cool, too. i really like the new reform rep...he's absolutely hilarious, but he still manages to say meaningful things. it's hard to find a person that can be funny yet still preserve the meaning of the text. so it was really nice...i'm starting to really get to know people and feel like i'm a part of the community. it's a nice feeling. oh, and emily broke up with her boyfriend, which was sad. i really like both of them...she's a sweetie, and he's a really nice guy. i hope they stay friends...it would be a shame otherwise.
ok, i think i'll take a nap now and continue with my weekend later.
