this weekend was tres nice...actually, it's been tres nice since thursday...i've been ultra happy, but i haven't had time to update since we had visitors all this time. now they're all gone...bevan went home saturday, nik went home this morning, and derek went to his uncle's place about 10 minutes ago. so it's not so crowded and loud anymore, but sadder, since it's just us again.

so on thursday they all flew in...nik and bevan were on the same flight, and derek came a bit later. it was so nice to see nik and bevan again...i've really missed them, especially nik. it was just like high school all over again...we went so nuts! so we took them back to our dorm, then to the wind ensemble concert. sam joe is in it, so they got to meet him. it was nice.

friday was a bit weird. after class, there was the watermelon drop...it was much overrated, but we stood with a whole bunch of lowell people, which was rather amusing. then, we went to dancing, which was nice. it was kinda sad at the same time, saying bye to everyone. i'm glad to go home, but it's sad to think that i won't get to hang out with that cool group for the whole summer. nik and bevan both came, which was cool. nik had a lot of fun dancing, and i think bevan had fun watching. i got to dance with blain a lot...yay! he's very amusing. and i got the award for "most bouncy." i thought that should've gone to ezaree, but since she was the one doing the awards, she couldn't have very well awarded herself...so yes.

after dancing, we all went back, took turns showering, and then nikki and i went to shabbat service and cin and derek went to nav nite. bevan stayed and went for a jog. i was really glad nikki came with me because i think those were the best services of the year. everyone was a bit sad and sentimental, so we were all hugging each other and being all emotional. the service itself was really cool, too. i really like the new reform rep...he's absolutely hilarious, but he still manages to say meaningful things. it's hard to find a person that can be funny yet still preserve the meaning of the text. so it was really nice...i'm starting to really get to know people and feel like i'm a part of the community. it's a nice feeling. oh, and emily broke up with her boyfriend, which was sad. i really like both of them...she's a sweetie, and he's a really nice guy. i hope they stay friends...it would be a shame otherwise.

ok, i think i'll take a nap now and continue with my weekend later.

where was i? i think i was still on friday. anyways...after service, nik and i picked up bevan and met up with the navs people to go to feather house for coffee house night. there was coffee (duh!), cookies, hot cocoa, and open mike. people went up and shared stories and jokes and played guitar...it was all very nice and comfy...except the room was getting really warm since it was probably 40 or so people in a fairly small room. but it was cozy that way...i like the navs people.

saturday, we got up early (sort of) to play tennis with sam joe. we had 4 rackets between the 6 of us, so we switched people every once in a while...it was tres silly and fun and amusing. i miss playing tennis...we should play more regularly next year, i think. after tennis, we went to lunch and bevan went to the airport. cin, nik, derek, and i went to kabuki sushi, which is the yummy sushi boat place in pb. it was really good and not all that expensive...not even $10 per person! i wanna go there one more time before we leave, but i doubt we'll have time to do that. maybe on friday after my last final...hmmm...we'll see. after that, cin and i had to study for hum, which was today.

sunday, nikki and i went to the argentine tango society, which was very happifying...i really like argentine tango! it's so much fun! i really have to work on my following...it's all about improv and the guy doing what he wants. of course, it's harder for the guy 'cause he has to be creative and a good leader all at the same time. but it was fun. it's a very boyfriend-ish kind of a dance...rather close if you let it. i think nikki and rey should learn it...she agrees...hehehe. later in the evening was the last ballroom club dance...it was the best one of the year! lots of people showed up, which was nice, and ther were more guys than girls, strangely enough. and some of the navs people showed up! both vics, sam and vince came this time! i was really happy about it...except that i was helping ceci do the lesson, so i had to be in front of everyone...but it wasn't so bad...i dealt. but anyways, it was really cool that the navs guys came! i got to dance with all of them and show them steps to different dances, which was lots of fun. i really like beginners, especially when i know them. and i don't know what chiang was talking about when he said he sucked...he was good! they were all pretty good...vince knew what he was doing and chu and sam joe picked it up really quickly. so yes...i hope they all come again...it would be fun!

today, i had a hum final and tomorrow is a chem final. i better go study for that now.
