i love sunshine
Aug. 11th, 2002 12:11 amtoday was a great day...sunshine for about half of it, which made me happy, and fog for the other half, which made sam happy...right sam?
enjoyed myself today...sam and i went to the beach and sat around and played with sand and rocks and talked about random things, such as the physics of sand and waving flags. when i got home, rachel was here, running around being silly. she saw i was sandy, ran over to my mom, and told her (in russian), "elaine is sandy. she's been playing with some kids!" everyone was very amused. then, after rachel left, cin came over to watch vanilla sky with me...very confusing movie, but in a good way. cindy, you and i really need to get together and talk for a while...we haven't had a nice deep convo in ages!
oh, almost forgot...at massage on thursday, deborah (a teacher) asked me what i learned from the lesson, and i said that the biggest thing i learned was to think about what i was doing, not the time in which i had to do it. she thought it was a very profound thing to say...so i thought i'd share with you all...for no good reason other than i'm bored and should probably get to sleep.
lesson for the day: simplicity is a good thing...it can be very nice and comforting.
love you all. good night.
