feeling sleepless, even though it's like 5am...i don't usually stay upthis late, but here i am, for some unknown reason. will definitely go to sleep in a couple of minutes, but i just thought i'd do a quickie update.

big fish was an awesome movie...really well done, very cute and happy and sad all the same time. had a good time afterwards hanging out and being super silly with emily and kevin and then later david. dancer friends are a good thing. dancing almost every day is nice, too...there are some weeks, like the last one, when i wish i didn't, but in general, i'm very happy with the amount of dancing i've been doing.

you know what i just thought of? for all the people who know my high school stories from freshman year...the whole thing with chris reminds me a little of the way it was with bevan in the beginning, when i had a crush on him. definitely not the same situation, but similar feel...good friends, flirty, then dates someone else but wants things to stay the same. yeah, odd.

ok, am losing coherency so off to bed. good night.

one very quick update: we are now refugees.

the apartment above ours had a small fire, the second in our building in a week. their sprinklers went nuts, flooding their place completely and overflowing into ours. we are now displaced, for at least today and possibly longer, so my sincere apologies to anyone i'm supposed to get in touch with...it probably will not happen today.

cindy and i are at emily's for the day (we love you, emily). tomorrow, we will find out how much longer we have to stay out of the water-damaged apartment, and if it's a lot, they'll put us up in a hotel. this is all highly distressing, but thank goodness for small favors -- my midterms and other personal hell finished last week. yay. so yes, if you need to get in touch with me, cell phone is the only reliable method, since land line is out and i won't be checking my e-mail a whole lot.
