Aug. 2nd, 2004 02:53 pmi just realized that i updated more frequently in israel, where getting to internet access was an adventure, than i have at home, where there is a computer in my room. such is life, i guess. i've been trying to force myself to sit down and write about israel, and while i don't promise it'll happen today, since i have lots to do before bed, i'll try to get at least a bit of a log up in the next couple of days.
current news: i'm working this week, 9-5, office job thing at the company i've worked at on and off since high school. i love the guys in the office, but hate the jobs. i don't like answering phones, the chair at the desk has a broken back and thus my back hurts, and filing is one of the more annoying things in the world. and, to add to the misery, the secretary, whose job i have for the week, is the slowest worker i've ever met. she lets stuff pile up and then complains about how much work she has. dude, looking at the papers in the "to file" stack is overwhelming, i understand, but that's because there's junk from last year in the pile! it wouldn't be this overwhelming if she filed everything that came in when it came it! what an idea, right? and now it's on me to clear it all up because i'm here and i'm a fast worker...but it's completely overwhelming and boring and there are so many better things i can be doing, even here at the office, than filing useless junk from 10 months ago. it wasn't junk then, of course, but it's now useless, but it still has to be filed for the record. blah.
ok, done with my rant. i guess it's good to be earning money, at least, so i can be grateful for that. off to file i go!
btw, i've already gone through a quarter of her pile...in less than a day. i don't understand how someone can be as slow as she is. it's just inconceivable.
