argh!

well, dance practice was horrible. we got to try on our costumes, and i really don't wanna ever put that dress back on again. but that's ok. good hang out time at earl's afterwards, which calmed me down some.

kevin, i need to whine to you about something, so i think i'm gonna post a locked entry to you (and tali, since it seems wrong somehow not to post to both of you.) yes.

so in summary, the last couple of days have been rather eventful. not bad, though, except for today...just filled. i'm glad the weekend is almost here and i can hopefully relax.

return of the friday updates!

so i have office hours for the stats honors class now, but people are either amazingly good at getting homework done in advance, or else they're worse procrastinators than even i was and aren't gonna come in for help 'till the grad ta's office hours, which start at noon, right after mine. that was a silly scheduling choice on his part, i think, but it makes it easier for me, since i'm thinking i'd have lots more people here if he didn't have office hours even later. but yeah, i only have one person here now, and she's working on stuff and asking me questions as she goes, so i'm free to do whatever i want for the time being. i should study or something, but i'm not going to...i think i'll just ramble for a while.

so um...convention was awesome, if i haven't said that already. i got to hear hobbits (well, the actors, but you know what i mean) talk about random things and answer questions and ramble and be generally hilarious...and i got a pic with billy boyd, who's pippin, for those of you who aren't as fanatical as i am...and i got a pic with gorgeous elf-boys who played gildor and glorfindel, i think (but i could be wrong). oh, and i met royd tolkien, who's j.r.r's great-grandson, and that was really really cool and exciting and he's like 24 and gorgeous and i got a pic with him, too. and i got to hang out with my friend avi and all of her friends, and that was fun and wonderful, and just a great weekend all around. more details to come when i deal with all my pics, so that's all for now.

then, as i think you all know, my niece was born on the 18th. they have a middle name for her now, so she's nicole marissa borshchenko. heh. poor child will have issues with the last name, as will rachel...imagine having to spell that. oh, man. poor rachel, actually, since she's gonna be in school very soon and will have to learn how to write her name! but yeah, the little one is a cutie (a little monkey-like, but aren't all newborns?) and i can't wait to see her. pres day is in a month! that's such a long time, but i guess, as my mom puts it, she'll look much more normal at that point, so it'll be good. and it's not like she's gonna remember anything from this month of her life anyhow. yeah.

let's see, what else shall i ramble about? it's been an interesting week this week, like i said earlier, but even the asthma thing isn't so bad. i mean, it sucks that i have to deal with meds and stuff, and i really hope it doesn't get any worse, but it's definitely manageable, so i just have to remember the inhaler and everything should be fine. i'm thinking that i've probably had asthma for years now, since i can remember having breathing problems all the way back in high school, but it hasn't really slown me down, so hopefully it own't now, either. yep.

ok, that was a very long entry. i think i should go and try to be productive now. i can't even check my email 'cause these macs don't have ie or netscape that's new enough to open gmail with. blah! but that's ok. i'll find something else to do, i'm sure.

i miss our idiot! are we ever gonna be in the same place for more than a week or so ever again?
