so vegas...
Apr. 25th, 2005 02:37 pm...was awesome, as i've said. despite the weirdness in judging and my own grumpiness mid-day, and the fact that comp lost by 3 points to show and another team...i still had a really good time. i love dance comps...the craziness, the excitement, the hectic nature of it all. for all my worrying about quick changes and such, that's the kind of thing that makes it exciting. vegas isn't my favorite comp, in terms of how it's run, but it's a lot of fun anyhow. i danced a lot, which was nice...got called back in weird events and not called back in weird others, but that's allright. now i'm looking forward to regency, which is a small comp in 2 weeks. maybe we can do better in the events we're actually better at, yeah? heh.
the bus ride was one of the best parts of the trip, at least on the way there. it was fine on the way back, too, but i spent most of it passed out in a seat, so it wasn't so exciting (with minor exceptions). on the way there, though, we had a really good time! we (emily, irena, margo, sarah, thomas, andres, david, mark, and i) all decided to get on one bus, which kinda turned into the paso/demo/some show guys bus...the way we pretty much expected it to go. we all watched mission impossible first, then napped and/or chatted...and then started playing games, like "black magic," "bang, bang, who's dead?" and "i like coffee but i don't like tea." much fun, especially when i finally figured out the trick to black magic. so in general, a very enjoyable ride. and, we even got to vegas in time to add events and go to the welcome dance for 10 minutes! imagine that! that's never happened before! heh. yes.
k, off to catch up on some reading for classes. back with more later, possibly.
