Yeah, the grandma stuff is pretty gloomy. She's making her own treatment decisions, though, which is good. Like you said, she's pretty empowered with that. She's taking it...as well as can be expected. She's stopped threatening to kill herself, which is progress, and she sounds more like herself when I talk to her on the phone. I'm not sure how she is overall, but she's able to pull herself together to talk, which is more than she was able to do before. She's also looking for alternative treatments, which is making her feel better, though I personally am skeptical.

Silly racecar boy, yes! We'll see how this weekend goes, though. This guy is one of the nicest people I've ever met, which is a good start. :)
