so valentine's day wasn't as bad as i was afraid it might have been. in fact, it was a downright good day...sunny, not too hot but not too cold, and just nice. i ran into bert who was my lab partner last year, and we had a good catch-up convo, then dancing was fun as usual. dave came over kind of randomly and we hung out for a while and exchanged back rubs. and then he gave me a ride up to peterson to meet up with the navs people, which was cool. the guys gave all the girls roses and cards, and i got included so now i have a really sweet note from them and two very pretty roses. so goal of getting a valentine from someone besides my roommate was accomplished!

one gripe of the day: only one (cindy) out of the three people that i sent e-mail cards to acknowledged them. shouldn't i at least get a response?
