hehehe...you've been single for a while, it's not exactly a recent development. josh, on the other hand, has had the girlfriend since i've known him...and i've had a on-again, off-again crush on him that whole time, so the fact that he's single is very exciting. yes.

I'm apparently several updates behind. Who is this Gred guy? Or is Cindy just a terrible speller? Most of the regulars in Cal's dance club are grad students. I'm as flirtatious as ever, but now I get girls telling me that they're engaged, or married. I think I prefered when they just laughed.
I tried to think of some deep response to those song lyrics but found myself coming up short. I think his tone is possesive, but then again I think he already let the girl go so there is nothing he can do about it. I think he's sure that whatever is in her character that makes her want to explore the world and herself isn't in his. He's sure she'll see him and his world view to be too small for her when she gets back. But while she's gone he'll repress those thoughts with the hopeful thoughts that she "belongs" to him. Just my take on it, that possiveness is his defense against growing up himself. I like the song, though.

hehehe. this comment is just too funny. gred is a code thing cindy and i have been using since high school. no connection to you or to grad students. i think it's funny that people tell you they're married or engaged and such. i'm sure you don't think it's all that funny, but it's funny reading it. yes. and i'm not sure i agree with your interpretation of the song. i don't think he's afraid to grow up, or that he has a small world view...i think he's just scared that she's gonna get distracted by everything else that's out there.
