dancingyelanother quickie update: we're still at emily's for tonight, but will be back at the apartment tomorrow, barring sudden and unexpected changes.
the apartment looked sad and pathetic, but maintenace cleaned some of it up and it looks better. there are heaters and air-blowers everywhere, drying the carpet and ceiling and walls. it's quite loud and windy, but it looks like it's working. they said they should be done by the next night, so it'll be a bit ugly but inhabitable. in the mean time, we have taken over emily's living room. yes.
but really, it could've been much worse and it isn't. i'm very grateful for that fact.
