five questions thing
Mar. 17th, 2004 06:09 pmso east coast kevin wrote these for me, and i was gonna friends-lock this entry, but then realized that he wouldn't be able to see it if i did, which would defeat the purpose. so yes. it's public, at least for now. kevin, you need an lj! but these are really good questions, thanks!
1- What would you say is your mission in life?
this is a toughie...how does one figure out what her mission in life is? i don't really know, but i'd say it has something to do with listening to people, being there for them if they need someone to talk to, 'cause that's what i'm good at. i guess that's why i wanna be a psychologist. i already play one to friends, so i may as well get trained and paid for it, right? heh.
2- If you could invent anything, what would it do?
is it too simple to answer, "it would instantaneously transport people from one place to another?" 'cause that's what i'd really want to invent, something that could make me go from one location to another without having to take the time to get there. can you imagine how much fun that would be? life would be so much easier, too...more time to do what you want 'cause transportation would be all taken care of. barring that, i think i'd invent a pill that let people only need 4 hours of sleep to feel good. that way, i can have all those extra night hours to be productive, and i wouldn't be all dead the next morning.
3- Playing spin-the-bottle with your group of friends, who would you want it to land on?
hah. i don't like this question. it's too difficult! i don't have a crush on anyone at the moment! hehe...but that's ok, i'll answer anyhow. assuming i was forced to play spin-the-bottle (because i really wouldn't want to play, willingly), i'd have to choose kevin from sd (sorry tali, not trying to steal your man or anything!) because he's one of my closest friends and the one i would feel most comfortable kissing, probably because he has a girlfriend so it's all clear and unambiguous. second choice? ryan, one of the hottest guys on the team. the only reason he's not my first choice is that he's a tad intimidating sometimes, even though he's a really nice guy.
4- What kind of music do you listen to, and how does it describe your personality?
i listen to an eclectic mix of stuff...some acappella, the beatles, a little pop, a little rock, some classical, spanish guitar, etc...really, i like more or less anything except for really heavy rap and country. i'd say it describes my personality as laid back, but i don't think i'm that laid back, especially not during finals. heh. i guess i'd have to go with weird, then. the music combo is weird, i'm weird, it all works.
5- What will your life be like 50 years from now?
by then i will be nearly 71...what a concept! hopefully, i will have had a long and satisfying career as a child psychologist. i will be married and still happy with my husband. we'll havseveral lovely grown up children and several lovely grandchildren, and possibly expecting a great-grandchild soon. i will hopefully still be healthy enough to dance a little. i will be living in san francisco. yep. that is all i can think of at the moment.
