minor update

dancingyeli know i haven't written in some time...part of it is that i have a lot to ramble about, so every time i sit down to write, i feel like i don't have enough time to wrote it all down. also, i'm having some issues deciding how to filter some stuff, so to avoid making any decisions on it, i just don't really write. not the best solution, but that's kinda how it's gone.
so this weekend we competed at sfo...it went very well, despite the slightly sad fact that we competed against ourselves. still, we had a good time. i personally felt really good about it...i still don't like the routine that much, and there's still a whole lot to work on, but i'm dancing better and feel more confident about it. man, i wish i could dance more couples stuff, though, and put more time into it. i guess i'm dancing a bunch at vegas, but still, it's just a one time thing. oh, well, i guess i can look for a partner in the bay area next year.
sfo was also great 'cause i got to spend hang-out time with dancers...irena, trevor, and thomas stayed at my place friday night, and then saturday, we went and hung out at japantown (which was very exciting for trevor). it was nice and laid back...the kind of thing i wish i could do on a regular basis. in the evening, irena went home, but kevin, tali, dave, and greg came over and we all had dinner and hung out for a while, and then the boys set up camp in my living room, which was very amusing. good times.
so, now i have to catch up on school stuff and all that...i'm kinda glad i'm not going to compete this weekend. it'll be nice to relax for a while, have a bit of a break. if anyone's around this weekend and wants to hang out, call me!
