another update from san diego

so i had my interview the other day, and it went well and everything...of course, i'm not gonna know for days. it's funny that everyone says, "oh, how'd it go?" and i really don't have an answer. all my interviews have gone well so far, in that i haven't felt horribly uncomfortable or like i don't know anything, or completely out of place...but i still don't have a job! so i don't really know what to say...how do i judge if an interview went well or not if i don't know the result? but that's ok.

having a good time staying with the boys...trevor showed me how to play prince of persia: sands of time and i discovered that it's a very addictive game. i remember playing the original, really old-school version years ago! so yes, lots of fun. it's been good to lounge and hang out with people. and i went to dance practice yesterday, so that was pretty awesome.

so, now i'm waiting on answers from two places, and then we'll see what happens after that.

One of my interviewers at JPL, during my interview, said "I look forward to working with you in two weeks!" Which was a pretty clear sign I got the job. Of course the funding for the project I was being interviewed for got cut two days after my interview so they appologetically told me that they couldn't hire me. They called me back 3 and a half months later, 1 month after I started at Lockheed, to say they got the funding back and were wondering if I was still available. So I guess what I'm trying to say is even when you do know, you never really know.

oh, i remember you telling me that story...yeah, that kinda sucks. i know that i really don't know anything until there's an official offer from the people in my hands. i just wish i got one! meep. and i don't even know where i wanna be! eh. i guess i'll make that decision when i must.

oh, you should really come to hustle with us next tuesday! it's lots of fun and it's fairly close to you, probably, 'cause it's in sunnyvale. so yes.

it's a studio called steppin' out productions...the website is steppinoutproductions.com, logically enough. they have a bunch of stuff on different nights, but the one a lot of us go to is the hustle on tuesday night. there's a lesson at 8:15 and a dance from 9:15 to midnight. in any case, the directions are on the site, so you can figure out how to get there. it's lots of fun! oh, and there's a guy who goes there who knows you...his name is david and he works at google. so yes.

So I love that there are always people to hang out with at the nightclub studio... and yey for enviting one more person, but who is he I don't recognize the name. Anyway, I think I'm having a little get together for 4th of July... there are fireworks right accross the street from me so we watch from my porch and stuff. It should be a nice evening so please come and bring whomever, just tell me how many.

the person i invited is greg...i don't know if you've met him before, but he went to ucsd and danced with the club a couple of years ago. what time are you gonna do the thing on the 4th? i can come for sure, but since it's a work day the next day, i don't know if cindy can come also or not.

oh, are you gonna go dancing tonight? i'm at my sister's, so it's really close for me.
