so, we're looking to hire a recruiter for our studies. the person we're looking for would be a fairly recent college grad, interested in psych and talking to people and such, reasonably good with computers (no programming, but familiarity with microsoft access and excel would be good) and creative enough to come up with recruitment strategies. if you or anyone you know might possibly be interested in it, let me know!

What's the study? :) I love doing recruitment for psych studies and I have a pretty good success rate.

You're working for the VA, right? I've thought about applying for some of their RA positions w/ UCSF. :)

so the study that's running right now is the one i'm working on, which is looking at the effects of ptsd on sleep, with lots of other details thrown in. there will be other studies starting up very soon, which is why we want a recruiter who will be able to recruit for all of them...i'm doing the recruiting for us right now, but i don't know the details for the other studies and really don't have the time to be the program recruiter in addition to the other things i'm already doing. i think you'd actually be a really good person for the job, 'cause not only do you like people, you also have phone experience, which is a little different than doing face-to-face interviews.

i'm working at the VA, but i'm officially working for NCIRE, which is an affiliated research thing. the people in the program are all working either for VA, UCSF, or NCIRE. it's an interesting mix.

my supervisor is out right now (jury duty or something) but when she gets back, i'll ask her when she wants resumes sent to her, and to what email address. if you're interested, go ahead and send me an email (dancingyel at gmail dot com) so that we can talk more through email instead of lj comments. heh.
