i now have internet at home! not that i'm at home, but when i get there today, whenever that will be, i can go online! yay!

random question: what opens wine bottles (corkscrew, maybe?) and where can i get one?

I think any grocery store will have a corkscrew, albeit not a nice one. You may also be in luck at liquor stores, or kitchen supply stores.

oh, i didn't even consider a grocery store. thanks! i so rarely have alcoholic beverages around, i don't really need a nice corkscrew, so that would be fine for me.

If you get a really ucky one though, it might break the cork and then drop cork into your wine :( Of course part of it depends on your technique laf... if that does happen, just use a paper towel to lift off the cork :) We used to do that in the restaurant I worked at... shhhhhh!

You can usually get a pretty good one for $10ish... a really nice one can cost upwards of $70... and you can find them at grocery stores or cooking stores...
