my life, very briefly

um...what to say?  life is busy and mostly good and very busy.  that's the very short version. 

the slightly longer version: the boy is done with chemo (yay!) and walking better (yay!) and mostly without any more side effects (yay!).  he has not had a pet scan yet (boo!) mainly because they won't know anything until a few months from now anyways.  i have work galore (boo!), including in about an hour tonight as well as tomorrow night, as well as being generally swamped during the day (boo!).  but cindy and david and i are going to san diego tomorrow (yay!) and i'm going to the conference in hollywood next week, where i will be presenting a poster (yay!) and staying in a swanky hotel courtesy of my boss and taxpayer dollars (heh.).  what else?  i haven't been to bab5 in a month or some such travesty (boo!) and haven't seen very many people other than david and sometimes melinda and sometimes cindy and nikki in about as long (boo!).  but, cindy and nikki have now seen my appartment, and cin came over the other day and helped me decorate and the room now looks like my room (yay!).  so that's the better summary.

the even longer version may or may not occur in a few days.  knowing me and my life right now, it won't, but i'm holding out hope.

i must say that i'm glad you have not completely abandoned LJ! hehe. Since you started working, you went from one of the people who populated my friends list the most to one of the least! But it's good that your job is going well, even if it's a bit crazy. And yay for David and being done with chemo! Hopefully everything will check out well once the PET scan is done.

Anyway, glad to hear from you! :)

awww, i'm definitely still alive, and even sometimes on lj! heh. i think between work being busy and the fact that i hardly ever have alone time anymore, i just don't lj so much. it's hard to sit down and write anything when there are so many things or people vying for attention.

yeah, chemo = unhappy, so chemo over = very excited. now to wait and see if it did its job...
