being home is an odd feeling

dancingyelwell, i'm actually not at home...i'm at ucsf, taking a short break from reading about DHEA and its effects on post menopausal women...wonderfully interesting, isn't it? i think if i knew exactly what DHEA was, other than it's a hormone thing, i'd be more interested in the topic. but that's ok.
so i just checked my grades online and i'm happy! i got a B in biochem techniques, which i'm a little dissapointed by, but it's ok, a B+ in general chem, which i'm really annoyed at since i could've gotten an A if i hadn't screwed up on the final, an A- in hum, which i'm pretty ecstatic about since it's hum, and i didn't expect an A...i was hoping for a B+...and i got an A+ in math, which is very happy...i knew i had done pretty well on the final, but i didn't think i had done that well...so that was nice. hopefully, this upward trend will continue for next quarter as well.
it's nice to be home, but i'm glad i won't actually be in the house very much starting from next week. i'll be gone just about all day wednesday and thursday, with massage classes and all, and i'll be gone a good portion of the day tuesdays, and i'll be going to services on fridays after work...and my mom said she'd go, too, which is happy and rather surprising, since she's never been much for religion. and i'm sure i'll have plenty to do on weekends...what, with friends to see, playing tennis with my dad, visitng rachel, and all that good stuff. oh, and my mom's friend asked if she could introduce me to her son, who's around 25 and apparently (according to my mom) wonderfully amusing and cool...and my mom was just so excited about the idea, she basically accepted for me...so now, there's the prospect of meeting a random guy who i may or may not have anything in common with. wonderful, isn't it? i'm actually rather amused. it seems that my mom is set on setting me up with a guy who's at least 5 years older than me...nothing less seems to do. she thinks they don't mature until around 24 or so. russian parents are tres odd.
but yes, i think i'm gonna go and keep reading about the wonderful hormone called DHEA.
