very quick update

i'm in tucson. it's very hot. settling in is already hectic and we've barely even started. i'm not a fan of being single. that, for now, is all. more later, when i have actual internet access instead of slow verizon stuff.

The being single thing does get easier. But for the first little while, it really sucks.

And I'm going to sound all new-agey here, but if it's meant to be, it'll work out, one way or another.

You're right, it'll all work itself out the way it's supposed to. The hard thing is waiting for it to work out, though. I keep reminding myself that we can re-evaluate after a year, but it's not helping that much right now. Heh. At least classes will start soon and I'll be busy.

Patience is hard.

Especially for those of us supercompetent people who are like "But, if I just work really hard, I can make this happen!"

Good luck settling in! Relationship withdrawal and bay area withdrawal can both be hard to kick, but hopefully you can get involved with exciting people and things in your new location!

I do know a couple who lives in Tucson (the guy was in my college singing group)...if you want a point of contact outside of school, I could give you an email introduction.

Thanks! I'm sure once everything is unpacked and classes start, I'll be busy and mostly happy. I'm mostly happy now, too, but I have to keep myself from sitting down and thinking too much, you know?

I would appreciate any Tucson contacts...it's nice to have some sense of knowing people who aren't in my psych program. So yeah, when you get a chance, and email intro would be wonderful. Don't feel too hurried, though, I don't have regular internet access yet (hopefully soon!).
