this summer promises to be quite exciting

dancingyeli'm at ucsf again, reading about DHEA and how it affects personality. i think it's quite interesting, actually, but the problem is that i can't concentrate on it for long amounts of time. i mean, there's only so much i can take of statistics and long hormone names and such. so, i'm taking a short break to update this lj, and hopefully be able to go back to reading my stuff.
so yesterday was a very cool day. first, i found out that i can get around $2000 for the summer, and all i have to do is write up a resume, write a little proposal of what i'll be doing this summer, and then, at the end of the summer, write up a 2 page thing about what i actually ended up doing. it was kinda funny, yesterday...louann (my boss) was like, "you'll have to write a 2 page report at the end of the summer...is that ok?" i wanted to crack up...after hum and bibc lab write ups, 2 pages is nothing...i can get through that in half an hour if i really want to. so that's happy. i wasn't expecting to get paid at all...and to go along with that, i'll get the title of stanley fellow at ucsf, which will be really cool and a nice thing to put on my resume...and a very nice thing for when i'll be applying to med school. so it's all cool.
then, yesterday evening, i went to the massage orientation, and that was very exciting. i looked at the schedule, and i can finish by the end of august if everything goes as planned, or by a couple of weeks into september if i have to change stuff around. everyone seemed really nice and friendly and all...it seems like it'll be a lot of fun. the only problem, the first class i'll be going to on tuesday is legs and feet...and i'm not a leg person. i just don't like tha very much...but oh, well...i'll have to take it sometime, so i may as well get it out of the way as soon as possible. i'll have to take it again later, too...but yeah. and i'll also need to do 8 practicums, at the studio or at someone's place with a table. i can do the practicums on anyone, so if you want a free massage sometime in late july to early august, please please please let me know. you'll have to come to the school, but i can drive there, and you'll have to fill out a short evaluation afterwards. but it'll be completely free! so yes. i'm very excited about this summer. everything is happening quite nicely right now. hopefully, it'll continue to be this nice.
