oh, wow...
Oct. 28th, 2002 02:03 amwow, wow, wow. this weekend was an awesome weekend in general, and sunday was just...oh, i don't even know. this will quite likely be the weekend of the year for me.
so tonight was the dance, which went really well and was a whole lot of fun. dan was there, and it was funny because kevin kept on doing really cool moves when he was dancing with me and "showing me off to my boy interest," as he put it...and i felt like i was following better than normal, especially on this one pretty slow salsa that we did. it makes me remember how much i like performing, 'cause that's what i felt like i was doing. then, afterwards, we went to get tapioca and then went to the beach. so we were standing there, holding each other and he asked me if i'd "go out with [him]," which was super happy and cute and a little high-schoolish. and then we had a good convo about what we were both looking for in a relationship and such...and it was nice and happy and it seems like we both want the same thing. so yes. dan's now my boyfriend! happy and confusing all at the same time.
i was just talking to cin about how this is all pretty new to me, partly because i've never had a boyfriend before, but also because it's an unexpected relationship. when i was in high school, i had a convo with someone once about how there are two different types of relationships. some start off as friends and either progress from there or stay the same, but the people are freinds first and then other things, if anything. then, there's the other type where the people feel like there's something there that's worth trying a relationship for, so they start dating and then become friends as they go along. now, i've always seen relationships of the first kind, and most people i'm around are like that, but here i am with a relationship that started off pretty quickly and we're getting to know each other as we go. this is an odd place for me to be...i don't know anyone who can relate. but that's ok...i'm happy and i have people who'll listen, even if they can't always help. so yes. it's all very exciting.
