i love being in paris!

it's so nice being here, away from home and such...it feels rather unreal...all cold and all...but it was better today. i was surprised when i went out this morning...it wasn't really windy or anything, and i thought, "wow! it's warm!" and then realized that it was probably in the high 40s, but it just felt warm since it was a lot colder the day i arrived. yes.

so today i saw the two towers! it was so great! i loved it! there were some great legolas shots, and some very nice aragorn shots and stuff.

so here's what i loved about the movie:
aragorn pushing the doors when he went into theoden's hall at helm's deep
frodo has a sam, too!!!! hehehe...
gollum is wonderfully sad and pathetic...i really feel sorry for him
the eye of sauron at the tower is really creepily cool
legolas is so great!
gimli has a personality, and it's quite funny
merry and pippin actually can be serious and make sense
wonderful exchange between legolas and aragorn when aragorn comes back from being seemingly dead
i like other stuff, too...i'll put it in later

things i didn't like about it:
elves coming to the aid of the rohirrim...it wasn't in the book at all...strangeness
faramir was stupid...he never tried to take the ring from frodo! it makes him look really bad, and he was one of the really noble characters, too...
the ents seemed a little stupid...unwise is more like it, and apathetic
not enough of merry and pippin
other stuff, too, which i'll put down when i think of it.

i haven't even gotten a chance to see it yet!!! but i didn't read your spoilers on purpose. two things: 1) it was a full moon the night you left!!! you owe me a ding! 2) i did NOT forget your neopets; but i couldn't get the computer free...so no advent calendar...sorry!!!!! but derek's physics and my dad's business inevitably rank over "oh, i need to take care of elaine's neopets!" so yes. have much fun in paris!

so bevan, nik, and i are all online on different computers...isn't that great? anyhow, i got my advent calendar stuff anyways, since france time is ahead...so it's all ok. and yes, i'll ding for you when i get back...sometime...you'll have to remind me, since i'm certainly not gonna bring it up myself! hehe...yes. ok then. ttyl.
