lack of sleep makes hum section more interesting

i didn't get very much sleep last night because of my essay and lab...i think i finally went to bed at 4 or so...if not later. then, i got up in the morning, turned in the lab, and went back to sleep. i missedhum lecture, but went to section, and it was the most interesting section yet. no one had gotten very much sleep, and we were correcting sentences with bad grammar, so everyone was having too much fun. there was a sentence that said, "As Natalie, Philip was good at physics." the point was that it should've used "like," not "as," so it wasn't that interesting. however, with the lack of sleep, someone decided that the sentence meant that philip was either and impostor or a transvestite, and when he played the role of natalie, he was good at physics. that set the whole class into crazy laughter, even the discussion leader. i was laughing so hard, i started crying. it was just too funny! some of the other sentences were just as funny, and the ones that weren't were funny anyways because of some of the crazy corrections people suggested. we thought of every possible technicality...i think the essays had gotten to us. i hope we have grammar every time we have an essay due...it makes things quite interesting and amusing.
i get to go dancing soon...it should be fun since we'll be doing waltz and samba, two pretty interesting dances. then, in the evening, i'm gonna go to the symphony with ceci...she invited me half an hour or so ago, and i decided to go...it should be fun. i just hope i don't fall asleep...i think i'll take a nap between dancing and the symphony. and she said we could wander around downtown afterwards, which will be very cool. the gaslamp is a very cool district if you know your way around, which she does. so yes, i think i'll have a nice evening which will make up for a not so nice week.
oh, i almost forgot to mention this...krishna asked me yesterday if i wantd to get together agian...it was the worst day to ask me since it was my rant day about the stupidity of it all! i think i'd rather not be asked than asked as a back-up, unless of course, like nik said, the guy reconsiders and decides that i'm perfect for him. but in any case, i was so surprised by him asking that i gave some lame excuse about life being hectic, which it actually is, instead of giving him a firm answer. hopefully, though, he'll get the hint. if not, i'll have to give a definite no next time. but i'd rather he got the hint so i wouldn't have to deal with it again...he doesn't seem too dense...but i guess you never know. i'll just have to wait and see. so yes, it's off to dancing i go.

that is too funny about the Philip/Natalie thing... I love crazy grammar mistakes like that! it sounds like y'all have a much more interesting hum discussion than i do. who's your TA?

actually, our TA isn't very cool...it's steiner, and she treats us as if we were in kindergarden...but she was in a good mood today, so it was cool.
