spring break, part 2
Apr. 1st, 2003 08:13 pmbefore i finish writing about my break, i just want to make a funny observation...so i was re-reading the stuff i wrote about break last year, and it's kinda amusing...i did very similar things...hung out with sam monday wednesday, and friday, too...saw more movies than i did this break, but really it was failry similar. i even got my hair highlighted, too. oh, and nik and i went to see "kissing jessica stein" spring break, not summer. so yeah. anyhow.
wednesday: got my hair cut, straightened, and highlighted in the morning...that was rather nice. i like it being this short. when it gets longer, i get really annoyed with it. yeah. after that, i picked up and sam and we met up with cindy and sam joe...went to the haight and had crepes and wondered around for a little bit...then decided to go home because the outing was starting to get rather pointless. so sam and i hung out, helped my dad and alex move the rest of my stuff from my room to the studio downstairs, and then hung out some more...he read me some children's books, which was really nice. little kid books are so cute!
thursday: visited louann, which was tres nice, and then hung out with toly for a while...went to the huge playground in golden gate park and hung out on the swings, picked up his little brothers (so cute!), had lunch at park chow...it was a nice day. in the evening, my parents and i rented "maid in manhattan," which was rather ridiculous and not very good, but that's ok.
friday: packed day...went to lowell in the morning...it was interesting being back. everyone said i looked really good, happy with life. yeah, i guess i am. i got to see mr. hibbard, ms. chin, ms. canepa, madame puretz, and mr. cheng. i wanted to see ms. gallo, but she was out sick. that was sad, but i left her a note. i hope she found it. after lowell, my mom, her friend jane, and i went out to lunch at ton kiang. that was fun...jane is an interesting lady, quite funny, and with a great british accent. then, we drove over to my grandparents' place to say bye. after that, i picked up sam and we got ice cream at marco polo's, then hung out at my place...he read me some more books, and we just chatted and stuff. it was nice to just relax and not do much. nice day, and for the first time in a while, i felt pretty light-hearted saying good bye.
saturday: flew back to sd in the morning/afternoon, then went to vic chu's surprise party...he's 22 now! coolness!
sunday: last day of break! cin and i took full advantage of it and went to horton plaza...the trip wasn't really succesul, but then on the way back, we stopped at the wherehouse that's going out of business and got some cool cd's, so the day wasn't a total waste...also did last minute grocery shopping.
and now it's back to school again...but i'm fairly excited. this quarter promises to be pretty good.
