calming down
Apr. 22nd, 2003 12:54 amit's been a nutty couple weekends, with the traveling and all, so i'm kinda glad to be back on campus, with no plans to go away for at least the next weekend. this weekend was especially odd, since i went to sfo, danced there, and then went home. so i was home, but it wasn't quite...this was also due to the fact that my room and the upstairs bathroom are being completely redone, so it didn't feel exactly like home 'cause i was downstairs and half my stuff was upstairs and all. so yeah. but it was nice to see my parents and grandparents. i didn't get to see my sister and alex and rachel, sadly enough, because rachel has scarlet fever (!) and i wasn't allowed to visit. i hope she's ok, the poor kid. it's really sad when kids are sick.
the highlights of my weekend: talking to gary mcdonald (!) and holding up numbers for him for open markings at sfo...if you don't know what that means, ask me; seeing all the genesis people while in my costume, because they were all surprised that i still dance, and i felt very proud of myself; chatting with my grandpa, who i don't get to talk to very often since he's not very good at phone conversations and i don't usually have that much time to wait for him to figure out what he's talking about; spending (slightly awkward) time with sam; green tea ice cream from marco polo; watching amatuer latin championship and pro latin; watching pro smooth.
now it's back to school time...sad, sad, but that's ok. oh, i should put poems up. i don't really feel like finding new stuff to put up, so i think i'll link to 3 poems i've already posted (not this month) and encourage you all to read them. here's a lovely e.e. cummings one, here's my favorite sonnet in the world, and here's a really pretty yeats poem. i'll try to find new stuff to post later, so if you have any recomndations/requests/comments, let me know and i'll do my best to accomodate you.
oh, before i forget! i'm now scholarship chair for tga! it's pretty neat! yay!
