ramblies

fire sucks. the air is so much better, though. i can't believe what a change it is from yesterday. back to class tomorrow. did i say that already in my last entry? oh, well.

bad (ish) stuff first, so i can be happy later. heh. works well. anyhow, my allergies are really bad today, which is really stupid. they waited until the air got better to act up again. how much sense does that make? yeah, allergies never make sense anyhow, but one can hope, no? also, i banged the side of my head on the closet door after tripping on random junk, and now, my head is fine, but my earring got all bent and the hole is bleeding randomly. it's rather painful and crusty and generally not pleasant. i've put disinfectant and such on it, but it's still not so happy.

now on to the good stuff. volunteering at the red cross was tres satisfying...did lots of data entry and helped sort all the apps...felt like i really helped out because they were rather short on people today and there was lots to do. i wish i could've helped at a shelter, but that's not realistic, without a car and all. ah, well, at least i did something. it's nice feeling productive.
also, my parents had a safe flight back from italy. they're in sf again, which means they know about the fires now, but they're thankfully not worried. i'm glad they were oblivious during the worst of it.
what other good news do i have? nothing much has been going on, us sitting in the appartment all the time and all.

wishlist: anything lotr-related. i've decided that i may as well go all out with the obsession.

i should stop rambling, but i really don't want to. what shall i talk about? oh, yeah...i wanna change my layout a bit, but i'm not sure how. suggestions? wait, let me modify the question...intelligent suggestions?
